DAYTIME EMMY WINNER TRUE O'BRIEN TO REPRISE ROLE OF PAIGE LARSON...

Posted Image

True O'Brien will be reprising her role as Paige Larson for an upcoming episode in the near future. As reported earlier today by Daytime Indulgence, Melissa Archer (Serena Mason, Ben's other necktie victim) will also be making a brief appearance.

UPDATE ON EPISODE SUMMARIES...

Work is continuing on the daily episode summaries. The delay on the 1980's guide being posted is that I decided to type out the cast lists (which had yet to be done other than in chart form) for 1980-1983, so they can be included with the rest of the decade. I'm up to April 1982 now, so there's 21 months left to type out from the charts. In other news, thanks to Sarah, 1987 has become the first year of the 1980's to have complete detailed summaries available for every episode (which will be posted once the 1980's guide is ready to post). Thanks, Sarah! Work continues on 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1990. 1988 is not yet available to research, so that is still the one year that needs the most work done. As always, if you are a fan of 1985, 1989, or 1990, and would like to write some summaries, let me know. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far!

JASON47'S INTERVIEW WITH MIRANDA WILSON...

"Days" fans, here's a new interview with Miranda Wilson, who played Megan Hathaway from 1984-1985. Enjoy!

Will Tyler's character be mentioned on the show before the end of the year?

Hi Jason! I'm planning another trip next month to Paley to view old analog tapes. There are two tapes only identified as follows: episode #2657 - 1976, and episode #4780 - 1983. If you can ascertain the exact airdates from the episode numbers, can you let me know? Thanks

All of the airdates/episode numbers are posted on this page of my site.

http://www.jason47.com/days/episodeguideindex.html

2657 is 6/7/76.
4780 is 8/22/84 (not 1983).

Have fun watching!

I love Dorothy Lyman. Anybody else catch on to her and Tyler's character dissing the street where AMC and OLTL used to tape in NYC? Lyman was the original Opal on AMC.

That was really cool that they did that back then. Probably couldn't do something like that now. Funny that some of the actors came on Days later on as actual characters.

I love how they could get all those big names back then to do a cameo for that terrible story, but can't (or won't) get former cast members to come back for a wedding or funeral, unless it's someone big like Alice Horton.

Well the budget in 2001 was probably 20 times what it is today. So there's that.

Alison Sweeney - Sami DiMera

Has she been listed in the credits as "Sami DiMera" before? (other than last week)

I vaguely remember "Samantha DiMera" in the credits in 2014, but I could be remembering wrong.

She was in the credits as "Samantha Brady" in 1993.

Here's the page for any monthly changes...

http://www.jason47.com/days/contractstatsarchive.html

Checking the list, in 2014, she was listed as Samantha DiMera for her last 3 months (Aug/Sept/Oct 2014):
http://www.jason47.com/days/contractstats12.html

She was also Samantha DiMera during her 2015 guest stint:
http://www.jason47.com/days/weeklyguests15.html

This is her first time being billed as Sami though ever.

Are you saying she was never in the credits as "Sami Brady"? Was it always "Samantha Brady"?

That's correct. It was always Samantha. Her last name changed at times, but she was always credited as Samantha until this month.

I remember it being announced that Victoria Wyndham had been offered a role and had accepted. But the actress made an announcement stating that once she learned it was just a cameo, she had to turn it down because it would disappoint her fans. I never knew why she would "accept" in the first place without knowing any details.
